A Novel Idea

Hiya! My name is Mea and most of the time, I have absolutely no idea what the heck I’m doing. Like most new writers, I want to write and I want to share my work. I want people to like it and I want it to bring them joy. I want my words to stir something in people. I want to make my readers laugh and cry and dare I say, maybe even make them think. But like I said, I have no idea what I’m doing… but I’m learning.

Through my blog, I’ll be sharing the ups and downs of what I’ve gone through (and am still going through) during my whole writing process. From leaving my part-time job as a cashier to focus on my writing, to getting over my fear of putting myself out there on social media, and trying not to have a panic attack every time someone tweets back at me. I’ll talk about my high and low points, how to take criticism and, give helpful advice passed down to me by other writers and some things I’ve even picked up myself.

It’s been a fun/crazy/exciting/scary road but I’m not done yet. Heck, I’ve barely even started but with the help of the writing community, my incredible husband and the support of so many dear friends and family, I think I can get through this. I think you can too.

No matter how long you’ve been writing for, whether you’re a seasoned author, or a green-as-grass writer like me, I’ve found that there’s always something new to learn. There’s always new ways to improve your craft and that we’re all learning as we go.

We’ll get through this together, you and I, and if we have the strength to make it this far, imagine what we could accomplish if we kept going.
